What is CLICK-IT?
Welcome to CLICK-IT, a free design competition open to public school students in grades 1 to 3. The goal of the event is to foster the elementary engineering skills of our future leaders by challenging them to build brick creations that meet specific requirements.
The 2018 CLICK-IT Challenge
This year's event focuses on local, national, and global landmarks. Students will be challenged to build replicas of a landmark of their choice. Students may choose any man-made landmark that they feel is important.
What is required?
1) A brick replica of the landmark (please note: all designs must be original, kits are not permitted)
2) A tri-fold display that explains the landmark, its history and importance to the local, national or global community
3) Attendance at the 2018 CLICK-IT, hosted by the Ocean City Primary School, located in Ocean City, New Jersey. The event is scheduled for TBD from 5:30PM to 7:30PM.
*The contest is designed to be simple,
fun and applicable to the classroom.
What to expect at CLICK-IT?
The event will run in a science fair format. Judges will grade each submission by a rubric (found below). As judging takes place, students will have the opportunity to partake in hands-on exhibits including brick-car racers, an epic LEGO-wall, life-size building bricks station and an array of other exciting attractions. All contestants will receive a certificate of participation and prizes will be awarded to top finishers.
